Halloween City Parade – Varna, 2018
18:00 | October 31st, Central Foyer – Start of the Halloween City Parade 2018
This traditional Halloween City Parade, being the funniest and the most generous of its kind, will be held at the Shopping and Entertainment Center Mall Varna EAD, bringing together young and a bit older fans of the horror genre. On October 31st, the Central Foyer will be teeming with vampires and zombies, fairies and princesses, and fairy-tale and film characters, who will be on show during the festive parade. The parade will commence exactly at 18:00 (6:00 PM), led by the “main vampires” – in reality, actors from the Varna Puppet Theater. All Halloween fans are invited to participate in the parade, regardless of their age or the characters they have chosen to portray.
As it happens every year, the organizers have prepared an exciting programme of the event. Especially for Halloween, Doctor Djakel’s School of Magic will open up at the Shopping and Entertainment Center. Dr Djakel is no ordinary conjurer; to the contrary, he is a mysterious and entertaining wizard, who will enchant kids with the art of illusion. Together with him, the participants in the parade may search for lost items, find other people’s belongings, and unravel complicated Halloween mysteries.
Guests at the ceremony will get the chance to enjoy the dancing skills presented by the kids from the Viva Dance Ballet School.
The tradition holds that the commercial outlets in the Shopping and Entertainment Center bestow a multitude of surprises and awards upon the participants in the parade. They will be handed out in the course of the contests, which will be split into the following categories: contest for the scariest costume; for the best jack-o-lantern; for the youngest participant, and many others. On October 27th and October 28th, the Pre-Holiday Workshop for Halloween Accessories will open up. Therein, kids and guests at the Complex may make a mask or some other impressive accessory for the holiday, aided by proficient horror-styling specialists.
Right before the parade, from 14:00 till 18:00, on October 31st, talented students specializing in Fashion and Fashion Management at the Chernorizets Hrabar Varna Free University, as well as students from the Professional High School of Textile and Fashion Design, will provide make-up to everyone wishing to join in the carnival show. The event will take place at the Central Foyer of the Commercial and Entertainment Center.
This will be yet another year when the Shopping and Entertainment Center Mall Varna EAD will be organizing an online contest for the most stunning photograph capturing the participants in the Halloween City Parade. From November 2nd till November 8th, the photos made by all the candidates wishing to participate in the contest will be featured in a special album on the Commercial and Entertainment Center’s Facebook page. The first three photographs that gather the biggest number of likes, will win spectacular awards.
