Fifth edition of the Festival of India – Varna 2019
This fall for yet another year, Varna Mall will turn into a center of Indian culture and traditions. During the first weekend of October, the Festival of India – Varna 2019 will provide for the fifth time residents and guests of the sea capital with a series of colorful experiences, intertwining mysticism, exotic tastes, ancient knowledge, dances, and music.
As usual, positioned in a special expo area, the festival’s organizers will present their guests with a wide range of ayurvedic products, tea, foods and spices, classic Indian clothing, accessories, and amulets. For the adherents of Eastern philosophy, there will be teachers from India and Europe available, among them Dr. Mauna Kaushik, Guaranga Das, and Satya Steve, who have prepared lectures, demonstrations, and personal consultations for ayurvedic and tantric practices for good health and harmony. Visitors of the exposition may learn about what Vedic astrology, and may subject themselves to pulse diagnosis. And, on the first day of the Festival of India, they may try out some of the healthy products of the Farmer’s Market, the latter being part of the event in this fall.
As tradition holds, during the first two days of the festival, from 10:00 until 18:30, running parallel with the exposition-bazaar, there will be lessons in yoga and meditation, mehndi (painting with henna), workshops, Indian music, dances, fashion, and a raffle for all guests. The celebration will finish off on Sunday, starting at 20:00 and ending at 22:00, with a concert and a kirtan party.
There is no entrance fee for the exposition-bazaar!
The entrance fee for the lectures, workshops, and the rest of the events from the parallel program, is 10 BGN, for each of the festival’s days.
