The leading global supplier of customer service solutions Sitel has opened its second office in Bulgaria in Mall Varna.

The official opening ceremony was attended by representatives of businesses, institutions and key customers of the company, which employs 58,000 staff worldwide, serving the end users of some of the most prominent organizations in the world in 40 languages. Among the official guests were the mayor of Varna Ivan Portnih, the Deputy Regional Governor of Varna District Tsvetomir Petrov, the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria Valentin Georgiev, the Executive Director of Sitel for Europe, Middle East and Africa Pedro Lozano, the Executive Director of Sitel for Germany and Eastern Europe Christian Steinebach, the regional director for Sitel Germany and Eastern Europe Georgi Uzunov and the CFO of Freenet AG, Mobilcom-Debitel Joachim Preisig.

The customer service center in Varna was opened as a result of years of work done by the Sitel team, which has invested over 2.2 million dollars in the local economy. The company opened its first offices in Bulgaria in 2006.  Sitel Bulgaria currently employs nearly 800 young and highly qualified specialists, and the new center by the sea, which will be headed by Daria Maneva, will allow their number to exceed 1,200 next year.

"I am glad that such a large international investor has chosen Varna for its second office in Bulgaria and that the company will provide new jobs. This investment is testament that the city has the potential of young, educated and skilled people. I hope that this will serve as an impetus for many other investors to find a good environment for development of their business in our city", said Mayor Ivan Portnih during the official opening ceremony.

"We are happy that Sitel continues its successful development in Bulgaria with the opening of another service center in Varna, which in turn will create additional jobs for qualified customer service in the region. Employment is the key to providing opportunities for development not only of people but of the entire region", said the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria Valentin Georgiev in his address to the guests.

I am convinced that our strategy for expansion, combined with our focus on quality of work and customer service, will soon be proven correct also in Varna. "
