The Royal Opera in London presents Bertolt Brecht’s satire about the fictitious city of Mahagonia

The fans of the classic works of art will be able to see the Bulgarian premiere of the modern classical opera The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonia. This masterpiece, resulting from the cooperation between poet and playwright Bertolt Brecht and the composer Kurt Weil is different from anything that can be seen in the world of opera and is extremely topical nowadays.

Mahagonia is a satire about money, morals and the pursuit of pleasure of the dubious citizens in a fictional city. The musical arrangement is extremely diverse, including many jazz and modern tunes. The cast are established names such as Kurt Streit, Christine Rice, Anne Sofie von Otter Leokadia Begbik, Peter Hoare and Williard White.

Guests of Mall Varna can enjoy their performances only on 23 May from 18 hours in the Arena Cinema.
