Mall Varna takes its place on the European map of charging stations for electric vehicles

The first public charging station for electric vehicles in the Seaside Capital is now a fact. Its official opening at the outside parking lot of Mall Varna was attended by owners of electric cars and bicycles, Mayor Ivan Portnih, District Governor Stoyan Pasev and the mayor of the Mladost region Hristo Hristov.

"I salute the "perpetrators" of the opening of this charging station: the company 3K and Mall Varna. Their initiative fully corresponds to the municipality's policy to create more opportunities for the entry of electric vehicles in our everyday lives – a step directly related to air quality", said Ivan Portnih. He announced the forthcoming purchase of three municipal electric vehicles which also would use the services of the charging column at the Mall.

Kolyo Oreshkov, Chief Engineer of 3K, explained that the choice of location for the installation of the charging station was driven by the extremely appropriate conditions. "The parking lot of Mall Varna is one of the few places in town where you can park your car around the clock without restrictions," said Oreshkov. The GPS coordinates of the station will be included in the European map, which orients owners of electric cars where in Europe they can charge their cars, he added.

The charging station in Mall Varna will be free to use until the end of the year. It is located in the parking lot opposite the main entrance of the Mall and is suitable for charging all brands and models of electric vehicles, which have socket Type 2 or Type Schuko. Besides electric cars, electric bicycles and scooters, the facility can also be used to charge mobile devices.
