The first ice-statues exhibition in Varna

Fine sculptures made of ice attract residents and visitors of the city in the first ever exhibition of this kind in the seaside capital. Mall Varna guests enjoy the attractively lit ice works, arranged under the tent in the open-air parking lot all through the day, as well as at night. The life-size sculptures of a swan, fir tree, harp and eskimo, look light and airy, while the crystal inscription 2017, the throne, the pictures frame and Santa's sleigh provoke everyone to take out their cell phone and to make a selfie.

The figures were made with over 3 tons of ice processed by a special technology to make it thick and transparent. One ton worth of ice was "scraped out" by the Ice Art team: Vladimir Georgiev, Nikolay Radulov and Milen Minkov to shape the sculptures. The main designer of the decoration details is the carving master Nikolay Radulov, for whom working with ice is a dream come true, so far having worked only with fruits and vegetables. The creators of the ice statues shared with us that the most difficult part of the job was carrying and arranging the ice cubes weighing 120 kg each!

Admission to the ice exihibition at Mall Varna is free, and if temperatures stay around or below zero, the ice sculptures show will continue also after Christmas.
