Tihomir Stratiev – pilot of the sports car club “Marina Motorsport” – was awarded the prize for Motorist No. 1 of Varna for 2017 at a grand ceremony in Mall Varna EAD. The racer wins this prestigious Annual Motor Show award for the sea capital for the second time; three years ago, in 2014, he was the triumphant winner of the same prize because of his accomplishments.

Unfortunately, Stratiev was unable to receive the winner’s cup in person because of his commitments in Italy. Nevertheless, the ceremony for awarding the 14th Annual Motor Show Awards - Varna 2017 gathered dozens of masters of the wheel and the high speeds, the winners from the Retro Rally Championship, sports journalists and motor sports fans. The best performers for the past year received cups and certificates from the organisers of the ranking – “Neptun Motorsport”, “Auto Moto Retro Club – Varna”, the Union of Bulgarian Motorists and Municipality of Varna. The prizes were awarded by the retro club secretary Orlin Penev.

Some of the ceremony special guests included the chair of the Union of Bulgarian Motorists – Varna – Dian Draganov and the member of the Board of Directors of the motor sports federation – Slavi Slavov, which is the chief organiser of Rally “Bulgaria”.  As tradition says, many of the award winners came to the ceremony with their children, who were the ones that enjoyed the prizes most.
