In line with tradition, the youngest visitors of Varna Mall welcomed the first forerunner of the spring - Granny Marta - on the first day of March.  Children had the chance to sing, dance and win prizes by participating in fun games in the company of Pizho and Penda during a joyful celebration, whereas the smiling granny tied martenitsi with the wish for health to all participants in the holiday.

All children who had made the effort to make their own amulet of health and luck in red and white participated in the contest for the most unique hand-made martenitsa. Granny Marta herself was the jury of the contest and chose the winner together with the guests at the celebration. The first prize - a gift card for BGN 100 - was awarded to 10-year-old Teodor, whose martenitsa gave rise to wild applause.
