Record interest in the Seventh Wine and Food Festival
The seventh edition of the traditional Wine and Food Festival attracted to Mall Varna thousands of Varna city residents and visitors. 57 participants – a record number offering quality elixirs and tempting dishes prepared by top chefs – joined the this edition of the Spring Forum.

Food and wine, wine and food – this is the formula for guaranteed success of every exhibition in Bulgaria, said Kosta Basitov, Deputy Mayor of Varna, at the opening of the festival.

For three days the audiences had the pleasure to discover the qualities of the production of 46 Bulgarian wineries, of which 15 wineries made their debut in the show. Along with the Bulgarian producers and suppliers of wine and spirits, there were also nine importers presenting the products of 40 wineries from all over the world – France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Macedonia, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and others.

Bulgarian oenologists who celebrate the craftsmanship in the industry in Australia, New Zealand and other countries also had a place in Wine and Food. For the first time connoisseurs tasted wines of regional varieties – Melnik 55, Ruen, Rubin – that have won medals at world exhibitions.

The guests at the exhibition had the chance to taste a unique brandy (local name: rakiya) with the playful name Saffrantiyka – grape musk brandy with saffron. Cheeses with Bulgarian truffles and porcini mushrooms, a colorful palette of quality sausages, gluten-free bread and French macaroni attracted the attention of the visitors to Mall Varna.
