About the drift:
Most people think that drifting is furious and uncontrollable driving and rotating cars covered in thick smoke. Some people call this driving “style” controlled insanity. In practice, drifting takes its most interesting and spectacular elements from standard automobile competitions and demonstrates them in an extraordinary show. This is a technique that has turned into a new type of automobile sport, which transforms the full control over the car to an art and superior driving skills.
Drifting is not a new phenomenon and this technique has been used ever since the 30s by Grand Prix pilots. The pure form of drifting, however, emerged in the 70s during the All Japan Touring Car Championship.
Drift is simply a technique that is characterized by the intentional loss of control on the car by means of “oversteering", causing loss of traction in the rear wheels. Drift fans like to say that happiness is not behind the corner; it is in the corner! What makes drifting so challenging and exciting is the fine line between maintaining and losing control (http://www.autoreview.bg).
Drift groups have been present in Bulgaria for several years and they organize periodic “fire” demonstrations.
On 14th of August Varna will host a real drift show for the first time.
