The magical music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, inspired by E. T. A. Hoffman’s famous work Nußknacker und Mausekönig, performed by the Royal Ballet and soloists Lauren Cuthbertson and Matthew Golding, awaits you at Arena Cinema!
At 6 pm on Saturday, January 23, you can enjoy the magic of one of the most beloved ballet productions of all time: The Nutcracker.
The festive story of little Clara and her family, which begins on Christmas Eve and goes through a series of dreams and wonders, taking Clara on an unforgettable journey through the Snow Forest and the Land of Sweets, is enthrallingly recreated by Peter Wright.
The magical Christmas Tree and the battle between the Mouse King and the toy soldiers show the full glamour of Tchaikovsky’s music, while preserving the outstanding elements from the original choreography by Lev Ivanov which have survived the times, including the superb Pas de deux of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Prince.
