The first National Farm Market held in Bulgaria’s sea capital turned out to be a real feast for the senses of the citizens and visitors of Varna last Saturday.

The producers' stalls, arranged under the tents of the open-air parking lot at Mall Varna EAD, were overflowing with the colors of fresh fruits and vegetables recently picked from the gardens and the aromas of freshly baked bread, herbs, meat and dairy delicacies and the culinary specialties of the chefs from the Street of Chefs.

Visitors to the Farm Market were wooed by the enchanting live music played by Stoyan Royanov YA-YA on the saxophone and clarinet and by Tsvetan Momchilov on the piano.

Nearly 60 farms and producers from the region of Varna and the country displayed their produce in the market. Visitors had the opportunity to taste unique products of sheep, cow, goat and buffalo meat and milk, savoury honey, exotic shiitake mushrooms, all kinds of fruit jams, as well as chilly jam, cherry wine, hazelnut halva and walnut tahini, more than 10 types of "live chocolate”, made by special technology of whole cocoa beans, honey and natural fruits and flavors.

Visitors to the market enjoyed a real ice-cream show, where the icy delights were made on site, in front of the customer's eyes, with fruits and other ingredients.

The National Exhibition of Natural Food Producers is the result of the three-year beneficial partnership between Mall Varna EAD and the Farm Market in the sea capital, and the idea is that the National Farm Market by the sea becomes a tradition in the future.
