17 artists and cultural institutes, including Mall Varna, won the First Independent Prizes for Culture Media AwARTs - Varna 2015.  The initiative for awarding the sea capital “Oscars” was organised by six journalists from Varna. The purpose of the awards was to honour and turn the spotlights to distinguished names, who have become cultural ambassadors of the sea capital.

Among the winners of Мedia AwARTs are “Balgaran” theatre, the Archaeological Museum, the Regional Centre of BNT in Varna, Varna Radio, artists, actors, producers and virtuosos... Mall Varna was nominated because of the numerous events on its yearly calendar, which serve as a bridge between the modern times and national traditions and which offer a unique atmosphere to the shopping centre visitors, which distinguishes it from the standard shopping centres. The prize itself says: “For creation of a cultural product at a particular place”.
